Ongoing Christian Formation Committee (OCFC)
Leader: Jessica Berkey

This group of committed adults have been doing extraordinary work in helping us to grow in our knowledge of and love for our Catholic faith. Above all, they have reminded us that as disciples (students!), our learning never ends. There are a few seats open on the team. Consider lending a hand!

The OCFC orchestrates Scripture and Catechetical studies, guest speakers, Advent and Lenten Retreats and evenings of reflection, dissemination of materials on a wide range of Catholic topics and issues. The OCFC sponsors many Adult Faith Formation activities.  The OCFC selects a book each year which is given to each Parishioner as a Christmas gift.  Everyone is then invited to take part in a book discussion in the early part of the new year.  The OCFC conducts an adult Bible study on Sunday mornings while the children are in Religious Education classes.  This has been particularly beneficial not only to deepen the Faith of the adults, but also to serve as an example to the children that learning about the Faith is a life-long process.  The OCFC has programmed for the Parish Advent Retreat to be led by the Sisters from Immaculate Conception Parish, Bastress, and for the Lenten Retreat on the weekend of the Fourth Sunday of Lent.  This Retreat coincides with the 65th Anniversary of St. Ann Parish.
