Religious Education

Our Parish provides religious education classes to children in PreK-3 through 8th Grade. Classes for the 2019-2020 school year begin September 15, 2019 and run through May 3, 2020 (a preliminary Calendar may be downloaded below).  Students from other parishes are also welcome to attend, but with their Pastor’s permission.

The Catholic Church believes that parents are the primary religious educators of their children. We, in turn, seek to support and reinforce what the children are learning at home by teaching authentically the beliefs of the Church as handed on to us in both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. Beyond the classroom, we also utilize creative opportunities to help our young people experience and celebrate our Catholic faith through the Liturgy and the Sacraments, as well as other special events and activities.

New and returning students can be registered by submitting the online registration form and payment, or by downloading the printable registration form below and returning it with payment to the Parish Office by mail or via the collection. Please mark the envelope “Religious Education.”

Our religious education programs would not be possible without our many, dedicated volunteers, and new faces are always welcome! If you are interested in volunteering as a teacher or aide, please email dre@stannrcc.org   All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age (high school students in 10th through 12th Grades interested in teaching/assisting with the children must be accompanied by an adult supervisor) and must participate in a VIRTUS: Protecting God’s Children workshop and submit appropriate background checks (link below).
