Parish News

  • UPDATE 5/27/20 4:30PM

We are pleased to announce that Bishop Bambera has granted all parishes in the yellow phase the ability to increase the number of attendees at events. While maintaining other existing safety guidelines – masks, social distancing, sanitizing, etc. – we can now welcome up to 25%* of our total capacity. *Please note the actual number of attendees will depend on groupings per household as social distancing differs for individuals versus families.

With permission to accommodate more people, we are looking forward to making some adjustments.

Attendees for weekday Mass/Thursday Confessions are no longer limited to once per week/once every two weeks.
The Wait List process is no longer needed.

Attendees for weekday Mass and Thursday Confessions are no longer required to make a reservation. Attendees will still be required to check in upon arrival and will be assigned a seat. Please note this decision is based on the usual number of daily Mass attendees in comparison to the new capacity limit. If attendance becomes an issue, the reservation process may need to be re-implemented.

We are looking forward to once again opening weekend Masses to the public. We hope many of you are eager to join us! The goal, with your assistance, is to offer a regular weekend schedule beginning the weekend of June 13th & 14th. More information about the weekend Mass reservation process is forthcoming. Reservations for weekend Masses are not being accepted at this time.

We would like to take this opportunity to notify you of very important changes to the regular weekend Mass schedule: The 11:30AM Sunday Mass is permanently removed, and the 9:45AM Sunday Mass is moved to 10:00AM.

The new weekend Mass schedule is as follows:
    Saturday (Vigil) 4:30PM
    Sunday 7:30AM & 10:00AM

We understand that some are not ready or capable of returning to ministry just yet, but we will be unable to open on weekends without sufficient help. Please prayerfully consider your ability to assist us. The following ministries are needed at each weekend Mass:

GREETERS confirm reservations upon arrival and facilitate exiting. Two greeters are needed for each Mass.

USHERS seat attendees and facilitate reception of Communion. Two ushers are needed for each Mass.

BOTH GREETERS & USHERS will also assist with sanitizing the church at the conclusion of each gathering. Individuals who are not currently greeters and ushers are welcome and encouraged to serve in this special capacity. Volunteers must be in good physical health with no medical vulnerabilities, such as diabetes, heart disease, or asthma.

LECTORS will maintain normal duties with the proclamation of the Word and intentions. One Lector is needed at each Mass.

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION will not be needed at this time. Father will be best assisted by a Sacristan before and after Mass, as opposed to a minister or server during the liturgy. Extraordinary Ministers are encouraged to assist in other capacities, if willing and able.

SACRISTANS will maintain normal duties before and after Mass. One Sacristan is needed at each Mass.

YOUTH ALTAR SERVERS will not be permitted to volunteer at this time.

Please notify us of your willingness to serve in any of these capacities by filling out the availability form linked HERE
There is also an option in the form to notify us if you are not willing to serve. Please complete the form as soon as possible so we can begin to formulate a schedule.
